Eaton and Paragon Mobiliy support Elektropostal in promoting electric aviation

Paris, September XX, 2021 – Following the success of its 2020 Edition, Elektropostal has organised in partnership with Green Motion, a Swiss company specialised in electric charging stations recently acquired by Eaton, a new edition with 3 electric planes flying between Payerne and the South of France. Elektropostal’s objective is to accelerate the deployment in Switzerland and in Europe of the first electrified air routes.

Electric aviation, an adventure… that starts now!

For the second consecutive edition, the departure took place on Tuesday 21 September 2021 at Payerne airport in Switzerland, for a two-week adventure through a dozen airfields.

During the event, Hervé Berardi, founder of the Elektropostal, presented the project and the crews and was accompanied by emblematic personalities of electric aviation such as Bertrand Piccard (Solar Impulse Foundation), Raphael Domjan (SolarStratos) and François Randin (Green Motion) who gave the opening speech.

For the 2021 edition of the Elektropostal, Paragon Mobility has made available one of its Nano Pods, a quick and easy-to-deploy, transportable and adaptable energy station that helps accelerate the transition to electric aviation.

And thanks to a close cooperation between Eaton, Green Motion SA and Paragon Mobility, the Pod integrates advanced energy components and features in a compact and consistent format:

  • DC Skycharge from Green Motion SA ;
  • Eaton xStorage Compact energy storage and management system as well as afast charging station for EVs (Eaton DC 22),
  • Paragon Mobility’s compact and integrated power distribution system including additional AC and DC charging capabilities and ports.

About Paragon Mobility

Paragon Mobility is a young innovative French company whose mission is to accelerate the transition to zero-emission vehicles by transforming the deployment model of energy infrastructures and in particular that of charging stations for electric vehicles. We design, develop, finance and operate a network of compact, transportable, scalable, easy and quick to deploy energy stations (without construction) called “Pods”. These Pods are used for ephemeral deployments (events, trade fairs, construction sites, car races, etc.) or for long-term deployment. The specificity of the Paragon Mobility approach can be summarised in two points: to remove the obstacles to the rapid deployment of charging infrastructures by focusing on resolving the constraints and problems of execution; and to offer our customers an ultra-professional and totally turnkey offer and service with a rental-subscription offer (no investment) and a guarantee of scalability.
